From auditing to impact: a shift towards operational finance
Agnès began her career in a fairly traditional way, working as a financial auditor. While the experience gave her a solid technical foundation, she quickly felt something was missing.
“I was only controlling, without really adding value. I needed to be more involved, closer to decision-making.”
This realization led her to transition into operational roles, first as an industrial controller in the pharmaceutical sector, and later as a financial controller in a large international group. These experiences confirmed what truly drives her: being close to the field and contributing directly to business performance.
She later joined a smaller, more agile organization as a business partner, working closely with an operations director to manage several production sites – a role that strengthened both her financial and strategic expertise.
Joining Kinvent: structuring finance in a fast-growing company
When Agnès joined Kinvent, she was looking for a new challenge — one that combined growth, impact, and an international dimension.
Her mission was clear: help structure the finance function within a company scaling rapidly.
“If I had to summarize my role in one sentence: I make numbers speak to support decision-making.”
Her day-to-day work is built around four key pillars: analysis, control, steering, and anticipation. Acting as a true business partner, she works closely with both leadership and operational teams, building trust to deliver accurate insights and support strategic decisions.
