At Kinvent, great products are built at the crossroads of technology, market understanding, and real-world impact. Few roles sit closer to that intersection than Product Management—and few journeys illustrate it better than that of Themelis Dimitriadis, Product Manager at Kinvent.
Originally trained as an industrial engineer, Themelis’ path has been shaped by curiosity, international experience, and a strong connection to both customers and products. Today, he plays a key role in defining how Kinvent’s solutions evolve to help millions of patients and athletes worldwide.
An international journey rooted in engineering
Themelis began his academic journey in Greece, before continuing his studies in France, where he completed a Master’s degree. Along the way, he also spent time in Spain as part of an Erasmus exchange—an experience that broadened his perspective and strengthened his adaptability.
Before joining Kinvent, he worked for three and a half years in the elevator industry in Greece as a Sales Engineer. It was a formative experience that taught him how to understand complex technical products, work closely with clients, and navigate long sales cycles.
In 2019, Themelis joined Kinvent in France—marking the beginning of a journey that would span multiple roles and teams over the next five years.
From sales to product: learning the market from the ground up
Themelis’ early years at Kinvent were spent in Business Development and Sales, where he remained for four full years. During that time, he worked as a Business Developer and Product Specialist, engaging directly with clients across the globe.
Those years were essential.
By talking to clinicians, distributors, and partners worldwide, he learned the market inside out. He didn’t just sell the solution—he learned how it was used, what clients truly needed, and where the product created the most value.
“That experience was crucial for my current role,” he explains. “I learned our solution at its core.”
A fresh start in Product Management
One year ago, Themelis made the transition to the Product Team, stepping into the role of Product Manager. It was a new chapter—and a fresh start.
Today, he works closely with the Product Director, Nikolaos, and the management team, helping shape the future of Kinvent’s ecosystem. From defining priorities to making strategic decisions about the product roadmap, his role allows him to directly influence how Kinvent’s solutions evolve.
What motivates him most is impact.
“As a product manager, I have the opportunity to make an impact on a solution that helps millions of patients,” he says.
It’s about balancing vision, user needs, and feasibility—while staying deeply connected to the reality of the field.
Building products that people love to use
What Themelis values most in his daily work is the team.
He works alongside highly skilled, passionate colleagues, all driven by a shared goal: creating products that make rehabilitation and performance assessment engaging, effective, and even enjoyable.
Kinvent’s strength, in his view, lies in how closely the company listens to its users.
“We hear our clients very closely,” he explains. “And we are very fast and flexible in implementing what they really need.”
That ability to adapt quickly—without losing quality—is something he deeply appreciates.
Purpose in health and sports
Themelis has a genuine passion for the health and sports industry. Being part of a company that operates at the intersection of technology, rehabilitation, and athletic performance gives his work real meaning.
He loves seeing excited clients. He loves seeing patients recover. And he loves knowing that Kinvent’s products help people overcome painful and difficult moments—while making the process more motivating and even fun.
That sense of purpose is what keeps him engaged and excited about what’s coming next.
Successes, memories, and what lies ahead
When asked about his biggest success so far, Themelis doesn’t hesitate to look forward.
“I think the best hasn’t arrived yet,” he says. He believes his current role in Product Management—still relatively new compared to his time in sales—will be where he makes his greatest impact.
Looking back, one achievement stands out: his final month in sales, where he closed long-running deals and reached more than 200% of his sales objective.
As for memories, one moment shines particularly bright: a business trip to San Diego in 2022 for a major congress. But it’s closely followed by many others—expos, international events, and shared experiences with colleagues around the world.
