Before embarking on the Kinvent journey, Odysseas spent nearly ten years leading software development teams and working hands-on as an engineer. Over that time, he co-founded startups, built products from scratch, and helped define the technical direction of multiple companies.
Throughout his career, a few things have always driven him:

“Creating impactful software that solves real problems is what keeps me excited every day,” he says.

Today, Odysseas plays a critical, multi-faceted role at Kinvent.
As Head of IT, he is responsible for building and maintaining a reliable infrastructure that allows teams to work efficiently, securely, and without friction. His mission is to ensure that systems scale as the company grows, while keeping downtime to an absolute minimum.
On the cybersecurity front, his role is just as essential. Protecting Kinvent’s intellectual property, data, and systems means anticipating risks and putting smart, pragmatic safeguards in place—without slowing innovation down.
And as technical lead for internal websites and automations, Odysseas selects the right tools, ensures platforms remain stable and secure, and delivers smooth experiences for both internal teams and external users.
It’s a role that requires vision, precision, and constant adaptability—and that’s exactly what he enjoys.
A balance between urgency and durability
What Odysseas loves most about his day-to-day work is the variety.
“Some days, it feels like we’re a digital fire brigade,” he explains. Security incidents, unexpected issues, urgent fixes—everything that needs immediate attention to keep the company running safely.
Other days are about building for the long term: refining systems, optimizing workflows, and giving teams the tools they need to do their best work.
That balance—between fast-paced problem-solving and building things that last—is what keeps the role exciting and meaningful.

What truly stands out to Odysseas about Kinvent is its ability to move fast, without ever compromising on quality.
The company can go from concept to product at an incredible pace, while maintaining high technical standards. That combination of speed, precision, and adaptability is rare—and it’s something he deeply values.
Having been part of the journey since day one, he’s seen how that mindset has shaped Kinvent’s culture: teams that move quickly, collaborate closely, and adapt constantly as new challenges emerge.
The wild early days of a startup
Some of Odysseas’ favorite memories come from Kinvent’s earliest years—a time defined by intensity, creativity, and wearing every possible hat.
Alongside Athanase, Manolis, Nick, and Themis, the founding team did whatever was needed to keep the company alive and moving forward. In the span of a single day, Odysseas might go from acting as an accountant, to managing production, handling procurement and payments, writing software, or even fixing something as simple as a broken door.
Weekends could mean signing documents as the legal representative or taking care of finances. Mondays meant starting all over again.
“It was intense, unpredictable, and incredibly rewarding,” he recalls.
Those early days weren’t easy—but they built the foundation of trust, resilience, and versatility that still defines Kinvent today.
Building what lasts
As Kinvent continues to grow, the role of strong, secure, and scalable technology becomes even more critical. With Odysseas at the helm of IT and cybersecurity, the focus remains clear: enable innovation, protect what matters, and build systems that support long-term success.
